She recounts witnessing salvations, miracles, healings, and deliverances, including the healing of a blind eye, deaf ears being opened, a mute person speaking, and a partially paralyzed person recovering after a demonic curse was broken. She also describes a man dying of AIDS whose health was gradually restored, people being freed from demonic oppression, and many other powerful works of God.Rev. Jorgensen speaks candidly about her own health struggles, surgeries, and the times she believes God spared her life. The book’s appendix includes teachings on healing, deliverance, and spiritual warfare. It also offers practical guidance for aspiring missionaries, with clear advice about what to do and what to avoid when serving on the mission field.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Heidi Jorgensen was raised on a small farm in Northern California. Her parents were moral, God-fearing people who became followers of Christ later in life. She married Jere Jorgensen in 1973 while attending college and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. After graduation, she began a career at a high-tech company.
Having experienced poverty in her early years, Heidi became focused on career success and material security. At the age of twenty-eight, however, she had a supernatural encounter with God that transformed her life and changed its direction.Heidi and Jere raised two daughters, Julie and Jenny. After Jenny began kindergarten, Heidi became a mathematics teacher at a Christian junior and senior high school. In 1996, inspired by fellow teachers who had participated in a Christian teacher exchange program, she traveled on her first mission trips to Russia and Kyrgyzstan. These experiences began a spiritual journey in which God taught her about healing, deliverance, and spiritual warfare. She later traveled with healing teams to Brazil, Mozambique, Malawi, and India, where she received valuable teaching and spiritual encouragement. A group mission trip to Uganda eventually connected her with church leaders in East Africa. Many of her later trips took her to Uganda and Kenya, where she served as a speaker and minister.
Although God works through people, Heidi gives Him all the glory for the remarkable salvations, healings, and deliverances she witnessed throughout her years of missionary service.
